Rothschild Rising Star Award 2014 in Association with the F&BMA

The “Rothschild Rising Star” program adds a unique training resource to our members, allowing them to identify future talent within their businesses and giving them access to the full resources available at both Waddesdon Manor and our Chateau in Bordeaux

 F&BMA members can nominate 1 person in their properties of which they feel have the potential to become a future F&B manager/director as is therefore seen as a “Rising Star”. Ideally they are currently in a supervisory position already and have shown promise and interest in progressing their careers in F&B. The Maximum age for entry is 30 years of age.

John Cousins - Director of the F&B Training Company

John Cousins is the Director of The Food and Beverage Training Company, London and has some 45 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.  He has been a regular judge and organiser at food and beverage service competitions for over 25 years and has over 50 publications, including being the lead co-author of the internationally best-selling textbooks: Food and Beverage Service and Food and Beverage Management.  He is a Fellow of Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, the Academy of Food and Wine Service, the Institute of Hospitality, and is also a Lifetime Honorary Associate of the Restaurant Association of Great Britain.  In recognition of his high level of commitment to the industry, he received the prestigious Caterer and Hotelkeeper 2013 Catey Award for contributions to education and training.
