Winner Rothschild Rising Star Award 2015
Lydia Mellor - Ivy Market Grill - Restaurant Manager
After a tough finals day at Waddesdon Manor where Lydia and the other finalists had to present their business case and make a test about Rothschild wines.
Lydia did the best on both disciplines and was the worthy winner of this years award.
The judges were very impressed by her business case and she scored the highest marks out of all.

This year the competition will be very similar to last year with a slight difference in the prize (this year the top 3 will actually take part in the Mouton Rothschild Harvest at the beginning of October which is a once in a life time opportunity.
We will accept entries between the 18th of May and the 15th of June. After all entries have been received the Committee will select 10 finalists to present a business case and attend interview sessions with the judging panel which besides the Committee members will also include John Cousins and other highly rated Hospitality professionals.
The final day will be on the 6th of July at Waddesdon Manor, home of the Rothschild family in the UK. Same as last years the competition is sponsored by Waddesdon Wine, who are the representatives of Rothschild wines in the UK and have been a great support to the F&BMA since the start.
How to enter your candidate? There are 3 things we need!
- Letter of Recommendation from F&B Manager/ Director ( YOU)
- CV and Cover letter from candidate
- Max 250 word essay on " What is the future of F&B Management"
These 3 files need to be send to email@example.com before the 15th of June and we will give the 10 finalists notice and details of what their business case should be about on the 18th of June to give them 2 weeks to prepare before sending their case in to us before or on the 2nd of July so it gives us some time to review before the 6th of July final.
